Another casualty of moving to Wix from WordPress, I lost all of our Way St Louis challenge! This is our challenge to eat in (or get takeout from) all 79 neighborhoods of St Louis. Not even sure if it's possible but we have never made it far enough to run out of options.
Tonight's "snack dinner" (Lil's request) was from Salvage Yard. This is the 2nd time we have ordered from them and I'm not going to lie, the first time was better. This week their fryer was apparently hot enough to melt all the condiment cups, THE STYROFOAM, and break chicken bones. Needless to say those wings were as dry as chicken jerky. T-ravs were av(erage), mozzarella sticks were great, and the garlic cheese bread was also tough and overdone.
Back in February, though, we had fantastic onion rings, loaded fries, and fettuccine Alfredo. And I remember better cheese bread. So take that as you will, takeout can be hit or miss but I bet dining in the restaurant is more consistent!
